The Aboriginal Cultural Material Committee (ACMC) will assess Aboriginal Heritage Place ID 40276 Gingin Brook, at its meeting on 25 August 2023.

The Gingin Brook is accorded cultural importance and significance due to a creative dreaming narrative.

Property owners with land interests that adjoin or intersect any part of the Gingin Brook are invited to provide comments that may be relevant to the Committee’s consideration of this matter.

There will be no impacts to land ownership or access as a result of the Committee’s assessment.  However, any future activities that are likely to damage, excavate or alter the brook, its banks and tributaries may require approval under the Aboriginal Cultural Heritage Act 2021.

The closing date for written submissions is 5pm, Friday 28 July 2023. Late submissions will not be considered.
