The Aboriginal Cultural Material Committee (ACMC) will assess Aboriginal heritage place ID 27937, being the Dandalup River, at its meeting on 14 April 2023. The Dandalup River has importance and significance due to having mythological association with a mythical Water Serpent and the Dreaming.

Property owners with land interests that adjoin or intersect any part of the Dandalup River are invited to provide comments that may be relevant to the Committee’s consideration of this matter.
There will be no impacts to land ownership or access as a result of the Committee’s assessment.  However, any future activities that are likely to damage, excavate or alter the river, its banks and tributaries may require approval under the Aboriginal Heritage Act 1972.

The closing date for written submissions is 5pm, Wednesday 29 March 2023.  Late submissions may not be considered.
