The Minister for Planning has approved, with modification, the abovementioned amendment to the Metropolitan Region Scheme.

The amendment is shown on Western Australian Planning Commission (WAPC) plan number 3.2724 and is effective from the date of publication of this notice in the Government Gazette.

Overview

The Western Australian Planning Commission (WAPC) is seeking public comment on a proposal to amend the Metropolitan Region Scheme (MRS) for land in the Shire of Mundaring. 

The amendment proposes to rezone approximately 19.3 ha of land, from Rural to the Urban zone, in the Bellevue locality in the MRS. The proposed Urban zoning will allow for residential subdivision of the land following a local scheme amendment, detailed structure planning and subdivision approval.

The WAPC certifies that, in its opinion, the proposed amendment does not constitute a substantial alteration to the MRS.
