The Minister for Planning has approved, as modified, the amendment to the Metropolitan Region Scheme.

The amendment is shown on Western Australian Planning Commission (WAPC) plan number 3.2750/1 and is effective from the date of publication of this notice in the Government Gazette.

Overview

The Western Australian Planning Commission (WAPC) is seeking public comment on a proposal to amend the Metropolitan Region Scheme (MRS) for land in the local government of Rockingham. 

The amendment proposes to transfer approximately 37.3 hectares of land in Baldivis from the Rural, Urban and Urban Deferred zones and the Other Regional Roads reservation to the Primary Regional Roads reservation in the MRS.

The Western Australian Planning Commission certifies that, in its opinion, the proposed amendment does not constitute a substantial alteration to the MRS.
