Overview
The Western Australian Planning Commission is seeking comment on a development application from the NEWest Alliance relating to the construction of the proposed Alkimos Station. This development application reflects the ultimate station design.

The development application will be determined by the Commission in accordance with section 116 of the Planning and Development Act 2005.
Development Application Details
The Alkimos Station development application proposes the construction of:
- the station building
- a bus interchange with 8 active bus stands and 4 layover bays
- two station platforms of 150m length
- two secured bicycle shelters, with capacity for up to 96 bicycle bays each
- ‘kiss-and-ride’ pick-up and drop-off area containing 28 bays
- long term ‘park-and-ride’ parking areas containing a total of 686 bays
- modifications to the movement and access network
- minor change to the design of the station building to remove the valance
