Overview

The Western Australian Planning Commission (WAPC) is seeking public comment on a proposal for Holiday Accomodation in the Swan Valley planning area. 

The proposal applies to Lot 628 Great Northern Highway, Herne Hill. 

The proposal comprises of:

  • The demolition of the existing dwelling located adjacent to the northern side lot boundary
  • The construction of a 249m2 single storey 3 bedroom Holiday Accomodation dwelling set back a minimum distance of 16.29m from the northern side lot boundary and 79.67m from the primary sreet boundary, Access to the holiday accomodation will be achieved by an existing dirt road located adjacent to the northern lot boundary. 
  • The Holiday Accommodation will provide short stay accommodation for guests.
  •  A total of 3 parking bays located in front of the holiday accommodation which will serve as parking.
  • A low open style fence measuring 1.2m in height located behind the existing dwelling and the proposed holiday accommodation.

Comment is sought from affected adjoining landowners regarding the suitability of the proposal, noting that there is no established agricultural activity on the subject land.
