Bayswater Station

Overview

The Western Australian Planning Commission is seeking comment on a development application from the Public Transport Authority relating to the construction of the proposed Bayswater Station.

The development application will be determined by the Commission in accordance with section 116 of the Planning and Development Act 2005.

Comments close at 5pm on 14 August 2019 

Development application details

Redevelopment of Bayswater station will include:

• relocating the rail line closer to Whatley Crescent
• constructing a new rail bridge, including an elevated principal-shared path
• constructing longer platforms to accommodate future six-car trains
• modifications to the existing road network to provide for new and improved road connections and provision of a bus interchange
• allowing space for additional platforms that will be required as part of the Morley-Ellenbrook Line.
