Draft Operational Policy 2.4 - Planning for school sites

Overview

The Western Australian Planning Commission (WAPC) has worked closely with the departments of Education and Finance to collaboratively review Development Control Policy 2.4 - School sites (DC 2.4). The revised draft has been renamed Operational Policy 2.4 - Planning for school sites (OP 2.4).

This review updates the 1998 policy to reflect current planning practice, improve strategic school site planning, address known issues on locational and physical site requirements for schools, and to provide clarity and transparency on the developer contribution methodology for public primary schools and how it is applied.

The draft Operational Policy 2.4 - Planning for school sites is available for public comment for 60 days.
