Wellington Dam Mural Development Application

Overview

The Western Australian Planning Commission (WAPC) is seeking public comment on a development proposal to undertake painting works for a mural on the wall face of the Wellington Dam, located at Lot 3501 (Reserve 46213) in the Shire of Dardanup. It is anticipated the artwork will become the world’s largest outdoor mural painted by a single artist, and an iconic tourist attraction in the area.

The development application process is a planning process only to assess and determine the requirements for the physical undertaking of the painting the wall. It does not include consideration of the design process or mural details.
