Greater Bunbury Region Scheme - DAPs proposal - Step Up Step Down Facility

Overview

The Western Australian Planning Commission (WAPC) is seeking comment on a Development Assessment Panel planning proposal at Lot 54 Vittoria Road, Glen Iris. The proposal is for the construction of a Step Up Step Down facility for the Mental Health Commission.

The purpose of the facility is to provide a step up/step down model of service, aiming to prevent or reduce hospital admissions by providing an alternative community based service. Access to the service is time limited with the maximum length of stay being 30 days. The development will consist of ten (10) single occupancy resident units, administration building and a resident communal building.

The planning proposal will be determined by the Southern Joint Development Assessment Panel.
