The Minister for Planning has approved, as modified, the amendment to the Metropolitan Region Scheme.

The amendment is shown on Western Australian Planning Commission (WAPC) plan 3.2716/1 and is effective from the date of publication of this notice in the Government Gazette.

Overview

The Western Australian Planning Commission (WAPC) is seeking public comment on a proposal to amend the Metropolitan Region Scheme (MRS) for land in the local government area of Cockburn.

This amendment proposes to rezone approximately 47.68 hectares from Rural–Water Protection to Urban under the MRS; carry out a minor rationalisation of Bush Forever site 390; and reserve 0.52 hectares as Primary Regional Roads to enable the residential development of the subject land.

The WAPC certifies that, in its opinion, the proposed amendment does not constitute a substantial alteration to the MRS.
