Overview

The amendment proposes to transfer approximately 19.8 ha of land along the Mangles Bay foreshore from the Port Installations reserve to the Public Purposes - Commonwealth Government and Parks and Recreation reserves. 

The amendment will allow for the continued use of the land for public foreshore access and leased recreation club purposes, whilst protecting the Commonwealth owned access point to the Garden Island Causeway.
