The Western Australian Planning Commission (WAPC) is seeking public comment on a proposal to amend the Metropolitan Region Scheme (MRS) for land in the local government of Cockburn.
The amendment seeks to rezone approximately 31.93 ha of land in the Treeby locality from the Rural-Water Protection zone to the Urban zone under the MRS. Rationalisation of Bush Forever site 390 (addition: 2.39 ha and removal: 9.58 ha) is also proposed.
The amendment will allow for the residential development of the subject land, following a local scheme amendment, structure planning and subdivision approval.
The Western Australian Planning Commission certifies that, in its opinion, the proposed amendment does not constitute a substantial alteration to the MRS.
