Overview

A Container Deposit Scheme Infrastructure draft Position Statement (see related document below) has been developed and released for public comment.

The draft statement has been prepared to support the roll-out of Western Australia's container deposit scheme in early 2020. The draft statement sets out how container deposit scheme infrastructure should be considered and assessed in the Western Australian planning system.

Why your views matter

The Western Australian Planning Commission (WAPC) is seeking your comment on the draft Position Statement. The draft Position Statement provides guidance to both proponents and decision-makers on the location and implementation of scheme infrastructure; and we are seeking the views of all interested stakeholders.

Comments on the proposal may be submitted to the WAPC in writing on or before 5pm, 19 February 2019.
