Why your views matter

The Heritage Council of Western Australia is considering whether to recommend that the Minister for Heritage should include Geraldton - Northampton Railway Precinct in the State Register of Heritage Places.

Inclusion in the Register enables the conservation, continuing use, development and adaptive re-use of places with recognised cultural heritage significance, in ways that promote and maintain their place in Western Australia’s history.

What happens next

When all stakeholder comments have been received, the documentation will be presented to the Heritage Council which will consider whether to recommend registration under the Heritage Act 2018 to the Minister for Heritage.
